Spend a night in an igloo? ..... check!!!
So when I had originally made the list this was definitely a task I didn't see myself completing any time in the near future, but as our nation has recently come to a stand still and succumbed to a mini ice age, it has been made possible!
Cabin fever can do strange things to a person... cooped up inside for days on end because of the snow... but nobody would have guessed that when a group of them finally get outside, and escape from the boredom of their home, they build themselves a new one!
Similarly to all of mankind's great ideas, this one also started with drink. We started to build blocks of snow out of square buckets (like being at a really cold beach) and almost naturally, the igloo began to take shape.
Now I'm no Eskimo, but as far as I'm aware, igloos are made out of blocks of ice... so it isn't really an igloo, more of a snigloo (snow igloo) ... but it still counts... and when you stumble home from the club and have lost a large proportion of your clothes, accommodation is accommodation... So ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the snigloo!

Invent something...... check!!!
Another week down, another task completed! It's getting harder and harder to keep this blog updated... I'm beginning to think that some of the tasks on my list may have been a little ambitious! But let's not focus on the negatives...
Some time ago, while conducting a little experiment out of boredom, I became an inventor. Others may claim to have come across this extraordinary invention but quite frankly they are liars. I am the inventor, and I would like to see anyone try to prove otherwise! This wondrous invention is called... "The Fly Kite'' ™.
A fly kite is a relatively easy creation and can be achieved with some easy to find household items. Below are some easy to follow instructions on how to create your very own fly kite.
- Find yourself a fly
- When he lands, trap him with some sort of container. (This is easier said than done, so I would recommend a large plastic lunch box; the bigger the container, the less chance the fly has of escaping before he is trapped.)
- If you're container doesn't have a lid, carefully slide a sheet of paper under the container making sure the fly is still trapped inside.
- Now this step has raised some hygiene concerns, but bear with me... place the container into a freezer (preferably one that doesn't contain your dinner, but remember freezing kills bacteria, and besides, your fly should be sealed in with little chance of escape at this stage.)
- Leave the container in the freezer for a few minutes (any longer and you will kill your fly).
- Remove the container and make sure the fly isn't moving anymore. Hopefully by this stage your fly is frozen, and you haven't murdered it. If he is still moving, repeat the previous step.
- Next you need to find yourself some string. The thinner the string the better; thread is perfect.
- Carefully tie the string around the fly. (This can easily be done without actually having to touch the fly; just take care not to tie up his wings.)
- When your fly is securely tied to the string (but not too securely; again, we don't want to kill him) leave him to thaw.
- Be sure to attach the other end of the string to something while you wait so as the fly doesn't escape, although it should only take a few minutes for him to revive and be back flying again.
So there you have it. 10 simple steps on how to create your very own fly kite at home. Fly kites have many uses, they can be used to send notes to loved ones, or simply a companion for those evening walks in the park.

Go to a casino........ check!!
I have to admit, learning to play the piano isn't exactly going smoothly... in fact, I haven't even touched a piano! I'm still trying to overcome the minor obstacle of not being able to afford one! Some day I'll get there, even if I have to spend an entire day in a piano shop!
On the plus side, I have recently completed one of my tasks, (albeit not a very difficult one) but a completed task all the same! After avery drunken very pleasant evening in town, and having just finished my kebab nice healthy food, I came across a surprisingly small building tucked away in a side street with flashing neon lights above the door.... to my delight, the flashing lights read CASINO!
It wasn't how you would imagine a casino to look... but hey, Camden street isn't exactly the Vegas strip so who am I to complain! I don't really remember much about the inside, as I don't think I was there for vey long. I've been told I was escorted out of the place after about 15 minutes for spilling drink on a blackjack table, using profanities towards a slot machine and trying to sleep in the cloak room... but all that matters is I got to go to a casino! CHECK!!!

Task #1 : Learn to play the piano
OK, so while the list is still far from completion, I'm not getting any younger so I thought I better get started on some of the tasks!
Although it won't be easy, I think this particular task is probably the most realistically possible to complete at this moment in time!
Having already grasped the basics of learning guitar, I figure it can't be too hard to transfer this very limited musical knowledge to piano... can it? We'll find out I suppose!
There are a few minor obstacles on the road to completing this task, (not owning a piano being a key one!) but the video in the link below has inspired me! I'll let you know how I get on!
